Rawla Gogunda is in its finishing stages to become one of the most unique hotels in India. Owned by an Italian family, this property has been under construction for the last six years.
CRN has recently taken over the management of this property and will oversee its final stages of completion. From finishing the existing construction work, to designing the furniture and soft furnishings for the interiors, to sourcing unique pieces, it is our job to bring these works together.
With meticulous care to detail and a passion to restore this heritage site into a one of a kind luxury destination, the owners have taken care to research the old style of living and reflect that in the fine details of craftsmanship.
Domes, doors and windows have been restored to their former glory, and a vibrant use of colour throughout the palace rooms brings on a feeling of old world aesthetics.
The murals on the walls have been hand painted by artists from nearby cities; the carving of each and every window and door has taken years to complete; and the coloured glass in all the stone jalis have been painstakingly placed by hand.
In the last stages of completion, Rawla Gogunda is very close to its final destiny as a world class luxury hotel. A true labour of love!
The first stages of the interiors are in process, with specially designed furniture being hand tooled with respect to the existing architecture. These details are being incorporated into the design work in order to harmonize the interiors with their surroundings.
The final project is to make an additional 15 rooms, bringing the total number of rooms and suites to 40. The larger suites are all around 130 sq. meters, and there are spacious new rooms by the main gate.
